Carl Leonard Manning

Carl Leonard Manning, born on November 26, 1933, and passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Groves, Texas. He lived a remarkable life, characterized by dedicated service both to his country and his community. Carl served in the Army during the Korean War, exemplifying commitment and sacrifice that would leave a lasting impression on those who knew him.

For an impressive 46 years, Carl contributed his talents to the Texaco Chemical Refinery, where he was a respected figure among his colleagues. His work ethic and dedication to excellence were evident throughout his lengthy career and established him as a reliable presence in the industry.

Carl is survived by his beloved daughters, Cheryl Springer and her husband Nat Springer of Martinez, California; Brandi Trahan and her husband Toby Trahan of Groves, Texas; and Tara Rinebold of Groves, Texas. He cherished his role as a father and took great pride in his family. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Erin Anderson, Eric Springer, Joshua Trahan, and Halle Manning, who will remember his loving spirit and wise guidance. In addition, Carl is also survived by four great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Manning; his parents, Jesse R. Manning and Riddie O. Manning, along with his siblings: brothers Charles, William, and Gerald Manning, and sister Betty Robinson. Each of these family members played a significant role in shaping Carl’s life, and their memories will forever be held in the hearts of those left behind.

Carl Leonard Manning will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the love and support he provided to his family and friends throughout his life. His legacy as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a dedicated serviceman, will undoubtedly remain alive in the stories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
