Dondi Lee Hyatt

Dondi Lee Hyatt, 63, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 11, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Orange, Texas, on October 1, 1961, he was the son of Lee Hyatt and Mary Jane Wynne. Dondi made a lasting impression on all who knew him throughout his life. Dondi was known for his warm personality, his strong work ethic, and his commitment to his family. Dondi led many job sites, as superintendent and taught many young men and women about work ethic, shared his knowledge, and educated people on many things work and life related that he will be remembered for. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially by the river, where he felt most at home. Camping trips and crawfish boils were cherished traditions that brought together family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. A fan of football, Dondi had a particular fondness for the Dallas Cowboys. He loved watching games with a cold beer in hand, sharing his enthusiasm with those around him. His laughter and spirit filled the rooms he entered, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda Hyatt; daughters, Joleena West and Brieanna Shue, husband Philip Shue, and grandson Pierson Shue; son, Dustin Hyatt, grandson, Aiden Hyatt, son, Jeremy Robinson, stepdaughter, Brittany Thibodeaux , grandson, Ace Robinson; stepsons, Wade Wood and wife, Tara Wood, Brandon Vennebush, wife Shawna Vennebush and their two girls, Hannah Murphy and Brilynn Mayo; sister, LeTeena Manasco; brother, Carl Kibodeaux; and lots of other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dondi Hyatt will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at, Victory Life Church 7708 Hwy 87 N Orange TX 77632
