Kathy Lynn Gregory

Kathy Lynn Gregory, 64, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Orange.

Born in Whitley City, Kentucky, on November 14, 1960, she was the daughter of Lester Upchurch and Juanita Keith Upchurch. Kathy was a woman of many passions. She found joy in the serene solitude of fishing. A true puzzle enthusiast, she spent countless hours piecing together intricate designs, finding satisfaction in both the challenge and the completion. Her love for reading was not limited to any particular genre, but her heart was deeply drawn to the wisdom found within the pages of her Bible. Gardening was another of her cherished hobbies, as she cultivated lush green spaces that reflected her nurturing spirit. Kathy also enjoyed the thrill of true crime shows. Family was Kathy's cornerstone, and it was the time spent with her loved ones that enriched her life the most. Her warmth, laughter, and compassionate heart created a welcoming atmosphere that embraced everyone around her. She was truly one of a kind, and her memory will be cherished forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Juanita Upchurch; her husband, Thomas Gregory; and her sibling.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna McClanahan and husband, James, Nancy Christine Chapman and husband, Aaron, and Juanita Forman and husband, Jared; her son, Tony Gregory and wife, Abigail; her grandchildren, Slade McClanahan, Mahala McClanahan, J.P. Rodriguez, Landon Patten, Kaysen Patten, and Thomas Gregory.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
