Michelle Susanne Shepherd

April 29, 1974 — June 29, 2025

Orange, Texas

Michelle Susanne Shepherd, age 51, of Orange Texas, passed away on June 29, 2025, in her bed, with her husband Glenn embracing, and praying over her.

Michelle Susanne Boren was born on April 29, 1974, in Hope, Arkansas. She moved to Bridge City, Texas in 1976, and then moved to Orange, Texas in 2016.

Michelle went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long three-year battle with illness.

Michelle met Glenn on February 7th, 1997, on a blind first date. They ate at Esther’s Seafood, and then went to the movies and watched “Star Wars.” Michelle and Glenn became husband and wife just three months later on July 11, 1997.

Things that Michelle enjoyed in her life on earth: family beach trips, shopping with her daughter, concerts, jamming sessions in the car, snuggling with her grandchildren, having deep conversations with her husband on the porch swing, and most of all, singing praises, and worshipping her Lord, which she is surely doing right now in her eternal life in heaven, directly in the presence of her Savior.

She was preceded in death by her father Bobby Boren. She is survived by her husband Glenn, and her children Erin, Kirby, and Ellyn. Her mother Linda Boren. Her sister Robin Daigle, and her brother Tim Boren. Her five grandchildren: Callahan, Cambridge, Avenleigh, Elijah, and Mackllan. As well as numerous extended family.

Many families and friends knew her as “Shelly,” while her grandchildren knew her as “Me-Me.” Everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her during her time on earth, have been positively impacted in some way by their relationship with her.

Whether you knew her as Michelle, or Shelly, or Mom, or Mi-Mi, take comfort in knowing she is in a much better place, finally in perfect peace. While she will be dearly missed, we are encouraged by the hope that this departure is only temporary, that we can and will reunite with her one day, side-by-side with Jesus.

“Hold on to the Promises!” is the title of a list of scriptures that she wrote on a notepad. Which includes:

Isaiah 41:10

Psalm 91

Psalm 103

1 Peter 2:24 and

“...when you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, the flames shall not consume you. I am the Lord your God…” Isaiah 43:1-3
