Paula DeMontmollin

Paula DeMontmollin, 77, of Buna, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Buna.

Born in Tampa, Florida, on May 3, 1948, she was the daughter of John William Brownlee II and Zetta Griffin (Thokar). An avid reader, Paula was also skilled at playing clarinet and piano. Paula was passionate about politics and education, but most of all her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, John William Brownlee II; her mother, Zetta Griffin; her brother, John William Brownlee III, and her sister Catherine Gale.

She is survived by her husband, Harry DeMontmollin; her children, Jennifer Jayroe of Pacifica, California, Jason DeMontmollin and wife, Stacy of Orangefield, Texas, Bevin Shipley and husband, Tracy of Buna, Texas, and Amanda Bailey and husband, Chad of Leander, Texas; her step-daughter and family, Angela Kirk, Meghan Bender, and Austin Bender, of Florida; her grandchildren, Bailey Raphael and husband, Dustin, Beau Shipley, Nathan Shipley, Jonas DeMontmollin, and Logan DeMontmollin; her great-grandchildren, Carson Raphael, and Nora Raphael; her niece, Leslie Gale; her brother Dirk Brownlee and wife Rhonda; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.
