Shelton Kay Boudreaux

Shelton Kay Boudreaux, known to many as Kay, was born on April 10, 1947, to William Julian “Bill” and Lucille Emma Aycock in Seattle, Washington. She spent her early years in Billings, Montana, until around age eight, when her family moved to Port Neches, Texas. There, she grew up and attended high school.

Kay’s life was filled with simple joys and deep love for her family. She adored animals, cherished walks on the beach, and enjoyed hunting for treasures with her metal detector. Sitting on her porch with a hot cup of coffee and the company of loved ones brought her peace. She had a passion for traveling with her beloved husband, Gene, and found great satisfaction in tending to her flowers.

Nothing brought her more joy than her great-grandchildren. Kay’s face would light up when they were near, and she loved playing with them, often sitting on the floor to join in their games. She always made sure “snacks” were ready for their visits.

Kay was deeply blessed with a large and loving family, including four children, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Paul “Gene” Boudreaux Jr.; her parents, William Julian “Bill” Aycock and Lucille Emma Runkle; her brother, William Richard “Ricky” Aycock; her grandson, Scotty James Goodsell; and her daughter-in-law, Janie Lynn Wininger Gill.

Kay is survived by her children: Donnakay Fuselier, Joseph Wayne “Joey” Fuselier, Tina Renee’ Gill, Michael Andrew “Mike” Gill, and Clifford William Tyson “Ty” Gill; her grandchildren: Amber Nicole Harwood, Kandace Kay Rash, Jessica Lauren Tallant, Jacob Wayne Fuselier, Todd Lance Goodsell, Joshua Lynn Goodsell, Sarah Christine Paddock, Amanda Lynn Taylor, Kimberly Renee’ Gill, Courtney Michelle McDonald, Brittany Nicole Newman Gill, Jessie William Gill, Ashley Renea Appel, and Matthew Julian Gill; and her great-grandchildren: Brooke Renee’ Harwood, Bailey Rae Harwood, William Elliot Rash, Lucille Emmakay Rash, Gage Ayden Goodsell, Kason Jax Goodsell, Tristyn James Goodsell, William Albert Ramirez, Maverick Lynn Taylor, Everett Jansen Romeo McDonald, Janie Noelle McDonald, Jarid Michael Gill, Avery Mae Phillips, Elijah William Gill, Blake Harper Gill, and Riley Lynn Gill. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert Julian “Bobby” Aycock and Steven Ray “Steve” Aycock.
