Tina McCoy Tinsley was born on February 18, 1946, in Beaumont, Texas, to Edward and Lucille McCoy. She passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on September 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with complications of Parkinson’s disease.
Tina spent most of her life in Beaumont, though she loved to travel and, over the years, called several cities home. She worked in many fields throughout her life — as a hairdresser, aesthetician, nail technician, and sales assistant at E.F. Hutton. Yet her greatest and most cherished role was that of mother and grandmother.
She shared a special bond with her mother, Lucille, and the two of them loved spending time together at estate sales and at McCoy’s Antiques on Calder Avenue. Tina was also a gifted artist who found joy in painting with oils and in creating pottery.
Tina is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Tinsley. She treasured her blended family and the love of her children, Kellie and Cary; her stepchildren, Karisa and Kelly; and her bonus children by marriage, Anthony and Douglas. Her grandchildren — Mac, Zander, Irish, Zoey, Candace, and Courtney — brought her endless joy and will miss her greatly.
She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Rene and Judy, and by Rene’s husband, Gary, whose care and support meant so much to both Tina and Bill.
Tina will be remembered for her laughter, her adventurous spirit, her creativity, and above all, her deep love for family and faith.
