Brett Matthew Hoffpauir, born on January 22, 1961, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to Catherine “Wilma” Ledoux and Norwood Hoffpauir, passed away on June 11, 2026 in Port Arthur, TX surrounded by family.

Brett spent much of his life serving others as a firefighter and working as a contractor. He was known for his strong will and stubborn spirit that stayed with him until the very end. Brett was truly one of a kind — a man who lived life on his own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Mené Robles (Joel) of Bridge City, Texas; Brett “Matt” Hoffpauir of Sulphur, Louisiana; Matthew “Drake” Hoffpauir of Orange, Texas; Bryce Hoffpauir (Loren) of Austin, Texas; and Keegan Hoffpauir of Sulphur, Louisiana.

He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Jaden Pendegrass (Hailey), Keely Hoffpauir, Kenzie Fontenot, Luis Robles, Brett Hoffpauir, Cage Hoffpauir, Rori Hoffpauir Weaver, Julian Robles, Kamila Robles, and Luca Hoffpauir.

Brett was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine “Wilma” and Norwood Hoffpauir; his sister, Tina Ber; and his brother, Dana Hoffpauir.

Brett will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Though his passing leaves a void, his memory, his strength, and the stories he gave us will live on forever.
