Daniel F. Nichols of Orange, Texas, passed away at his home on February 2, 2026.

Daniel was retired from Jefferson County Airport where he worked for 23 years. He served in the United States Army for 3 years and served in Vietnam. Daniel was awarded a bronze metal and other awards.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marsha Nichols; children, Troy Nichols and wife Nancy of Nederland, and Shannon Nichols of Orange; sister, Diane Anderson and husband Mike of Orange; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by both his parents; his brother; his three sisters; and sons, Sam Elmore and Clint Elmore; and grandson, Trever Elmore.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.
