Deborah Diane “Debbie” Daniels

Deborah Diane "Debbie" Daniels, 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 21, 2024 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX. Born on August 13, 1954 in Kinder, LA, Debbie was the daughter of Edwin Marion Berly and Betty Jo Woodel Berly. She graduated from Robeline High School and was very proud of her Cajun heritage. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she held many callings faithfully throughout her life. A proud and accomplished individual, Debbie graduated with a Master's in English from McNeese State University at the remarkable age of 60, showcasing her lifelong commitment to learning. Debbie is remembered for her fiery spirit, devotion to family, deep faith in God, and love of learning. She loved dining out and frequently going to the movies, proudly considering herself a movie buff, which she passed down to her family. At home, she enjoyed challenging the Jeopardy players daily, reading, and watching the cooking channel, often trying her hand at some of the recipes. Her perfect day would be spent at the beach relaxing. Her favorite places to frequent in Galveston were The Spot or watching the waves from the dock at Murdochs.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished her role as Mom and MawMaw, always supporting her children and grandchildren in their pursuits. She followed their activities with great pride and poured herself into their lives with unwavering enthusiasm. She truly was their biggest fan. Her love and dedication to her family were the heart of her life and her presence will forever be felt by those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Betty Jo Berly and her brother Robert Berly.

Those left to cherish Debbie are her children; son, Brian Daniels; daughter, Nicole Miller and husband Darby Miller; son, Todd Daniels and siblings Michael Berly and Connie Reeves. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; Dan Daniels, Katrina Landry, Colby Daniels, Chance Loftin, Todd Dillon Robshaw, Chloe Benoit, Justin Daniels, Trent Robshaw, Emily Benoit, Trevor Robshaw, and Payton Daniels; four great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.

A memorial service honoring Debbie will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Silsbee, TX on October 22, 2024 at 6:30 pm. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 5:30 pm.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Silsbee Oaks and Harbor Hospice for the compassionate care given to our loved one. We are forever grateful for the support you provided for our family.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Harbor Foundation.

Dear mom, Sorry I couldn't be there mom but I know you know my love for you and that you and I will always be together. You will always be with me and our souls will be forever connected. You where the best mom in this whole world and I will forever miss you and all your goodness. You were one of a kind. The best kind! You gave me the greatest gift of all and that was love. Most importantly you taught me of my savior and his role in my life and the reason that he came. I will love and miss you for the rest of my life! Your birthday was the 13th which fits this scripture perfectly! Corinthians 13:13 which says so faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Thank you Mom for all that you gave me. I will forever cherish the time that we had. Until we meet again I know you are with me always! Ty

I’ll never forget her! I have too many memories to tell! I loved her as a child like any kid loved extended family but to love her as an adult and appreciate the person she truly was beyond the eyes of just a neighborhood kid was altogether something else! She burned with a rare intellect and I cherished our deep conversations! It was a gift that I have always held dear! She was a fiery sort; one that made you proud to earn her respect and her time! I only regret us all having lived away from one another for so long! She was already missed before her passing and I will forever mourn the loss of such an unforgettable soul! My heart is with you all and we are all sending up love and prayers of comfort!
