Dennis “Rock” Lee Guidry, 71, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas.

Dennis was born on April 28, 1954, in Beaumont, Texas to Raymond and Thelma Guidry. He was known as “Rock”, a nickname that reflected his steady presence, strength, and the dependable role he played in the lives of those who loved him.

Rock was a loving, proud, and devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw, and his family was truly the center of his world. He found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life-fishing, being by the water, tending to his animals, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Whether he was casting a line, caring for his land, or sharing stories and laughter with those he loved, Rock lived with a steady heart and a deep sense of devotion to his family. Known for his love, strength, and pride in those he held dear, Rock leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him and loving him.

Rock married the love of his life, Rhonda Guidry, on July 9, 2010, and together they shared many years filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Thelma Guidry, and his sister and brothers.

Rock is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Guidry, his sister, Linda Walters, and her husband Mike Walters.

He was a proud father to: Kerri Denton, Ragan Funderburke and husband Shane Funderburke, Dusty Guidry and wife Jessica Guidry, Shannon Hardin and husband Kyle Hardin and Joseph Reese and wife Kimberly Reese.

He was a cherished grandfather to: Kelsey Foy and husband Austin Foy, Kevin Funderburke, Tyler Hollis and wife Marissa Hollis, Kyle Hollis, Taylor Lucier, Shyann Guidry, Cheyenne Jones, Lakin Funderburke, Laikyn Reese and husband Lane Anderson, Hayden Guidry, Branning Lucier, Camden Guidry, Savannah Davis, Khlo’ee Reese, Makenna Reese, Kolden Hardin, Wyatt Hardin and River Hardin.

He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Sawyer Hollis, Hansen Foy, Halstyn Hollis, Hannah Foy, Karsyn Funderburke, and Ryatt Anderson.

A celebration of Rock’s life will be held in the spring, when family and friends will gather to honor his memory and spread his ashes at his favorite fishing hole, a place that brought him peace, joy, and connection to the life he loved so dearly.
