Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 23, 1962, he was the son of James Robin. He had a lifelong career as a petroleum inspector and was well-respected in his field. In his prime, Greg was known for being very good at his job and was familiar to most everyone who worked the river. Greg was not just a hardworking professional; he was also a true friend to all. Greg was known to all as “Uncle Greg” and he cherished that deeply. He had a heart as big as Texas and loved helping people. He never met a stranger and was known for his ability to bring joy to those around him. His silly songs and rhymes for every occasion made him a cherished companion, and his laughter was contagious. Outside of work, Greg had various hobbies and interests that he passionately pursued. He loved riding his motorcycle, cooking delicious meals, going to the movies, and gaming with his friends. He had a special talent for remembering the names of actors and movies, and he had an impressive knowledge of everything related to Marvel and DC. A proud member of Thriving House, Greg made a significant impact on everyone he met. His loving spirit and good-hearted nature will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.

Greg was a special person, always smiling. I met him at church he loved Jesus with all his heart. He was a great servant in God's house, he held the office of Head Usher "the one with mints in his pocket ". When we had our annual picnic gathering he was there manning the grill. Greg you were loved by all at Thrivinghouse and will be greatly missed.

My memories of you Greg are most pleasant. I will miss our bible scriptures and stories discussions. I will never forget what a loyal friend you were and always had your friend’s backs. I will miss the laughter and teasing and you letting me have Thursdays to be Verro’s favorite at Maria’s. All other days belonged to you my friend. Your immediate offer of friendship and kindness from my very first time to hang out with you guys I will never be lost on me, and permanently in my heart. Sharing our birthdays 1 day apart will forever remind me of you on October 23rd. Thanks for letting me sit with you when chairs were full . Keep watch over us from your cloud in heaven. I’m sure you will be a gatekeeper. Big hugs to infinity and beyond. Love on Jesus for me till I get there. Save me a seat. I’ll bring a tamale breakfast smothered in queso just for you my friend.
