Mary Katherine Parker

Mary Katherine Parker, 76, passed away January 27, 2016 at the Groveton Nursing Home in Groveton, Texas. Mrs. Parker is a former resident of Beaumont, Texas and moved to Groveton in recent years. She was born October 9, 1939 to John Jacob and Eunice Francis (Jaggers) Whittaker.

A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Parker will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home Beaumont with a gathering of family and friends from 12 noon until service time.

Mary Katherine Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Parker; son, Johnny Reed; daughters, Cynthia Swafford and Donna Parker Hospidar and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Parker; grandsons, Dannie Manno, Joseph Matte and James Bahn; granddaughters, Donna Richardson, and her husband, Clint, Jennifer Thornton, and her husband, Bryan, Hillary Hospidar and Hannah Hospidar; great-grandchildren, Cindy and Matthew Davis; great-great-granddaughter, Kylie Mason; brothers, Robert Whittaker, and his wife Jackie, Jimmy Whittaker, and his wife, June; several nieces and nephews and many others who knew and loved her.
