Mary Dell Thibodeaux, 82, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at her home.

She was born on March 7, 1937 to her parents, Ceasar Tucker Thibodeaux and Ellen Ledet Thibodeaux in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Mary Dell worked for Charles Martin, petroleum inspectors for 25 years before taking over as office Manager with Thibodeaux Inc., petroleum inspectors and retiring after 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her three sisters, Pearl Abshire, Myrtis Lemele and Jeanette Kemp, her two brothers, Chuck Thibodeaux and Scuddy Thibodeaux.

Mary Dell is survived by her brother, Jimmy Thibodeaux and wife, Marilyn of Shiner, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 14, 2020 with Rev. David Edwards serving as celebrant. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors. Inurnment of her cremains will be in Oak Bluff Memorial Park at a later date.

Dell was my Aunt. I will miss her dearly. She was always a joy to be around. She loved her family and had a huge heart for animals. I know she is happy now with the family in Heaven. It won’t be the same without her here. I love you Dell!!! ❤️🙏

Mary Dell , my aunt, was Pure Joy! Always smiling, I remember when I was younger her Preacher skit-she was hysterical! She is with my Dad & mommie & pepaw & her other brother & sisters talking & cutting up in Heaven!
