Sherry Lynn Massey

Sherry Massey, a devout Christian whose life was a testament to her faith and love for Jesus, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Beaumont, TX. She was born on October 15, 1966, in Houston, TX.

Sherry found joy in attending church, playing with her new puppy, solving puzzles, and immersing herself in books, especially the Bible. Christian gospel music filled her home and heart, and spending time with her beloved family was a cherished activity. She also enjoyed traveling and the peaceful serenity of the beach. Among her most treasured memories were the births of her children and grandchildren. Sherry dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a home health caregiver. Known for her kind heart, Sherry often reminded her children to "be careful of how they treat people because they could be entertaining angels." Her most admirable quality was her profound ability to forgive those who hurt her, a virtue her children strive to emulate. She wished to be remembered for her deep love for Jesus, who was everything to her.

Sherry is survived by her children, Jennifer Bolton and husband Randy, Sammul Wilkerson, Christopher Spurlock, and Carolynmae Cowart and husband Ethan; her grandchildren, Wyatt Spurlock, Thomas Spurlock, and Selena Spurlock; her siblings, Tommy Wilkerson, Bobby Wilkerson and wife, Ida, and Julie Wilkerson; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Wilkerson and Shirley Ebarb.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
