Sheryl Lynn Green

Sheryl Lynn Green, age 47, of Hartburg, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Hartburg, Texas. She was born on April 5, 1978, in Brown County, Texas.

Sheryl was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, who always put others first. A devoted Christian woman, she was strong, honest, caring, and extremely positive about life. Known for her vibrant “firecracker” spirit, Sheryl brought joy, light, and encouragement to everyone she met.

Sheryl was a friend to so many whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she knew and she built a life filled with meaningful relationships and lasting memories.

Sheryl deeply loved her work family at Reaud, Morgan, & Quinn Law Firm. The firm was truly a treasure to her and to her family for so many years. There are no words to fully express our family’s gratitude for the love, support, and care shown to Sheryl throughout her time there.

She had a deep love for her family, animals, and especially horses. Sheryl enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, traveling, reading, and living life to its fullest. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, a reflection of her warm heart and love for togetherness.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Bill Floyd Conway.

She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Green; her precious daughter, Shelby Major; her mother, Darlene Haynes; her brother, Justin Conway; her mother-in-law, Beth Green; her father-in-law, Troy Green; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Turing Point Church in Vidor.

Sheryl Lynn Green will be forever loved, deeply missed, and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Harbor Hospice Home Health and Sheryl’s RN, Angie.

Sheryl and I grew up across the street from one another. Sooo many memories were made in the days that preceded cell phones. Records of them existing now only in the minds of those who lived inside of them. Summers were the most memorable. So many empty hours and we filled them all. I had a hand me down motorcycle from my older brother. She had a 3 wheeler. We would spend days creating trails in the forests behind our homes and in the open fields we knowingly and unapologetically trespassed into. (Oh the budding rebels we were) We would spend several days at a time bouncing back and forth between our houses- playing super Mario brothers, hotel, jumping on the trampoline. Or running from the barn because their goat Frank had decided he hated all humans big and small. As we grew older we reconnected and enjoyed girl nights clubbing at the now nonexistent yet forever infamous "Longhorn". I even got banned once for trying to sneak her a cocktail before she was of age.(because.. rebels) I wouldn't trade those days and those memories for anything in the world. Our friendship was the kind that would always just pick up right where we left off as if no time had passed at all. She was a kind, loving, and generous soul. And the sound of her laughter and even her ire... remains in the sounds of my happy childhood. A part of me wishes we had pictures of those days.. and a part of me is glad we didn't leave behind evidence. 😆 The standard of our friendship from such innocent beginnings became the benchmark I measured all other friendships by. For me- She remains an unrepeatable soul who taught so much more than she ever thought I could learn, just by being my friend. She will be with me always.
